API Data License

This license covers structured responses returned by the Hometriva API to a valid API key, including project definitions, cost estimates, permit checks, jurisdiction resolution and project reports. It does not cover our underlying models, coefficients, weighting, source selection logic, internal completeness scoring or any non-public dataset.

Subject to payment and compliance, we grant a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use API responses inside your own product or internal workflow, for the services, geographies and volumes in your plan. Each key is issued to one customer and may not be shared, resold or sublicensed.

Where API-derived estimates, permit findings or jurisdiction data are displayed to your end users, credit Hometriva as the data source in a reasonably visible place, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

You may not:

• Republish bulk responses as a standalone dataset, feed, export or download.
• Reconstruct or approximate our project-by-location database by systematic enumeration of projects, ZIP codes, cities, counties or states beyond your plan volumes.
• Use responses to train, fine-tune, distill or benchmark a model or product that competes with Hometriva, without our written permission.
• Remove, alter or obscure response metadata, versioning or request identifiers.

Responses are modeled estimates with stated confidence and freshness, not appraisals, quotes or legal determinations about permitting. Dataset and model versions are returned with each response and may change. Data is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, and you are responsible for how it is presented to your users.

We log API requests and embed per-customer trace metadata in responses for security, billing, abuse prevention and license enforcement. We may audit usage patterns and, on reasonable notice, request confirmation of how responses are being used.

Per-minute, daily and monthly limits apply per key. We may throttle, suspend or revoke a key that exceeds its plan, evades limits, or shows enumeration or scraping behavior.

Either party may terminate on notice. We may suspend or terminate immediately for breach of this license, non-payment, security risk or unlawful use. On termination you must stop calling the API and stop displaying cached responses within thirty days, except where retention is legally required.

We may update this license. Material changes will be communicated to active API customers before they take effect for their account.
